A few resources to assist students of my Quilted Sneaker Workshop

Supplies
Required
- Sew Easy Sneaker Kit in your size (Shoemakers Academy)
- Tracing pen (choose a color that works well with your fabric choice)
- Leather Scratch Awl
- Multi-punch tool for leather
- Harness needles for sewing leather (if not included in your kit)
- Shoe Laces:
- (3-4 eyelets = 27”, 4-5 eyelets = 36”, 5-6 eyelets = 45”, 7-8 eyelets = 54”, 8 or more eyelets = 72”)
- 1/2 yard of pre-quilted fabric, leather, suede or other material to be used in your sneaker outsole. Best options for batting are Soft and Stable or Wool, due to the additional loft and breathability, especially for high top styles. Quilt with at least 1/2” spacing.
- Create 2 yards of folded bias binding, from 1 3/4” strips, to finish the raw edges OR 1/2 yard of fabric to be used for your lining.
- Binding clips
- All purpose polyester thread for any shoe construction required
- Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies
- Fray check
- Scissors
- 28mm Rotary Cutter (Olfa 28mm Cutter, Fiskars 28mm Cutter)
Optional
- Serger and choice of thread to finish the raw edges
- Odicoat Waterproofing Gel (also seals raw edges)
- Choice of waxed thread for sole stitching
- 3/16” Eyelets
- Eyelet setter tool (typically included when you purchase eyelets)
- SneakerKit Pattern in your size (Free)
- Aglet Crimping Tool w/ Metal Aglets
- Multicolor Metal Aglets
- Rainbow Metal Aglets
- Multicolor Plastic Aglets (use glue to apply)
