NW Pepper was created to share and inspire in a positive environment
NW Pepper (Northwest Pepper) is a creative brand founded by Kimberly Bennefield. Kimberly is an avid sewist, modern quilter and bag maker. Kimberly began her quilting journey in late 2015 in part to explore a new creative outlet. However, she quickly found a community of supportive and talented quilters, and found her way to a local Modern Quilt Guild chapter. In 2018, Kimberly was elected to served as President of Portland’s Modern Quilt Guild. While president, the guild reached a record almost 400 members, and to this day Kimbelry continues to actively volunteer within guild leadership.
“I may be a woman of many hats, this space is intended to focus on a specific “hat”. This space is primarily about sewing and quilting. Some of my sewing includes garments that I will also feature under my brand umbrella of BlackWebDiva.com.”

Prior to being introduced to the wonderful world of quilting, Kimberly has enjoyed a career of over 20+ years working in technology and design with companies like Nike and Intel. She began her career as a webmaster/network administrator. Kimberly has been able to find opportunities to blend that expertise with her grass roots love of design, now working in the field of User Experience Design.
Kimberly is a wife and mother to a blended family of seven (three step children and four of her own) as well as five grandchildren. She is also a sports, comic book and sci-fi nerd, who loves music, baking, painting and gardening.
Kimberly is originally from a small town in Texas, where she says she was not allowed to have a boyfriend, because she was told they were “all her cousins”!
