HSTs!

This week’s section is short but sweet and one of my favorite shapes, HSTs (half square triangles)!

This second week provided us with a glimpse into the community of quilters from Gees Bend, Alabama.  Much of their work has been featured worldwide but there is a strong community of quilters there still going strong.

Make sure to check out the Fat Quarter Shop’s feature on this quilting and cross stitch project and remember that through February 28, 2021, 100% of the proceeds from the sales of Stronger Together Quilt Patterns and Stronger Together Cross Stitch Patterns will go to United Negro College Fund (UNCF).

I was able to follow the same techniques I used in my week one blog, for marking and matching intersections.

This section was fun and a quick make for me, especially since I was able to use my fabric cutter to cut accurate shapes with dog ears.

In the end, I really liked the contract in the colors I choose and this section turned out looking really cool.
